    Car audio installation and application was amazing and this is your best bang for your buck and I recommend this product to anyone and everyone who wants top of the line quality and sound that absolutely exceeds your wildest expectations and you will FEEL and HEAR instruments and background music and beats and bass you never heard frok the same songs you have listened to for years and I was just beyond appreciative for this EQ took my truck Stero system to the next level and I’m confident I could enter competitions now and I will most likely win cause I have bought and installed 2 of these in my Chevy Surburban and they controll 12 – 8” mid bass speakers 4-10” highs and 4-12” subs and 5 amplifiers and it has handled them perfectly and no problems at all not running hot no protect mode and just hard core quaking Bass and Hi’s that scream so loud I can’t believe that my 8” speakers are even capable of achieving this sound !!!!

    The best peace of audio equipment you can add to your system.

    I have to 12 inch woofers 2 6/5 an 2 6by9s along with a 10 in screen deck. An 2 1000 watt amps ,The deck does not have enough output lines for all the speakers i have so by me having to put adaptors in to my outputs i was losing power. Once i added the clarion EQ i gained all of my power an i can say it sounds 100 percent better, i can control my highs an mids an also my subs an all the in betweens, the EQ is while put together very sturdy , for under 80 bucks beleave me when i say it the best peace you can add to your system. The install is very simple even for a beginner, the outputs an inputs speaks for them shelfs simple. I can honestly say this is worth every penny of what i paid a major up grade to my system an ive had no problems what so ever. Very satisfyed .

    Got it working plugged into an outlet

    I wanted an equalizer for my desktop audio setup, so I read a couple reviews here and asked some people on diy speaker forums how to plug this into an outlet and figured out how to do it.You’ll need an ac/dc 12v 2amp regulated power supply. There’s a $14 one on amazon with a phoenix connector adapter. The remote turn on wire and the main power wires both need positive 12v. You can just splice those 2 cables’ ends together, which I did by soldering, and you should have 2 cables coming from the equalizer: the spliced cable (power/remote on) and ground. If you have the psu mentioned fit both the spliced cable end of the equalizer into the + and the ground cable end into the – of the phoenix adapter. If you don’t have an adapter, dissect your PSU’s dc cable and note which one is ground and which is power and solder or crimp the dc power to the end of the spliced cable and the dc ground to the end of the ground cable and protect yourself from the electric bits.With the power supply cable connected to the phoenix adapter, I took the finished cable and wrapped up the thin 18 gauge wires with electrical tape as well as the connection areas.The front aux port only functions as an aux in, not aux out, so if you have music/audio you wanna input with 3.5 aux, it works fine. To use 3.5mm headphones with this equalizer you need an rca male to 3.5 aux female cable and to attach the adapter to the backside ‘front out’ LR RCA ports.

    Love it! This is high quality piece of equipment. Not only is it quality built it is also very functional with seven bands of EQ. On top of that, It gives you full sub woofer control separately and full front to back fader. For the money, it has been my best investment!! This unit fits perfectly under my dash in my 13 foot Boston Whaler.

    This is amazing! If you’re thinking about it it, do it!!! This thing makes all my amps sound so much better. For about 50 bucks, you can clean up most distortion from your hu, have precise control of frequency decibels, control the sub gain, and juice up your high output levels(makes a huge difference in how well your amp preforms). 100% the best addition that I’ve made to my stereo is this!!!!!

    I was short on RCA’s on my end we had unit, had to use a LOC for my sub, and was not getting enough volume splitting the channels. This fixed all of that along with adding groundloop isolation. Period by far my best purchase in car audio in 25 years.

    I can’t believe how much better this eq is over the one I replaced, which is an audiopipe eq. They have the same input set up, 7 band and and hi input ect. But Clarion is much cleaner and richer sounding. Highly recommended by me.

    It’s a great addition to my system!

    Only one thing that i dislike about it is the location of the input Jack on the front of it. It’s located between the volume knob and the fader knob, which makes it difficult to turn either knob if you have the input jack occupied. I use my cell through it. Just sayin!Otherwise it’s a great equalizer!Thinking about purchasing another one for my other car.

    Got a stock head unit you love? Forget the LOC, this is what you want. My truck has a uconnect 430n. Navagation, hard disk drive, iPod port in the glove box..Siriusxm if you like bad audio.. nice head unit, but no low rca outputs. The EQ on the head unit is “low, mid, high”.. The clarion covers what the head unit is missing. Takes in the speaker wire, converts to front, rear, sub rca out to amp. Gives complete EQ control at your fingertips while driving. Separate bass mob (subwoofer only) means not having to mount another bass boost knob from the amp. Or better yet, no crawling under the seat to adjust eq and sub output..Yes, it’s damn bright. I mounted it low on the dash, out of my line of sight while looking at the road. It lights up my lower console pockets very well so I don’t have to turn on overhead light.Had one of these in my first car over 20 years ago. There is a reason they are still being manufactured.Update: this really brought put the distortion of my factory head unit. So I ditched the HU and installed an Android tablet. Line out of earphone jack to main input on EQ. Loud and CLEAR.Ran AUX rear out for CD player, and front AUX for friends sharing.

    it powers all, light etc… but not sound, 2 hrs of testing or trying to make it work, different cables and amps, no sound output, it has front, rear and subwoffer output , no sound on any of its outputs, try switching main and aux, no sound output, only a humm, im from Venezuela and i is hard to do a devolution for shipping cost. but dont recomend you to buy this product, when recived on Miami my family told me looks like open box, thay send it like it came, when recived on Venezuela 20 days later, i can corfim looks like used product, has marks on top plastic, powers cables pealed and torched like they where conected before. sorry for my gramatical mistakes i speak spañish, little english. NOT WORKING , BAD SELLER Looks like USED

    Received a used and damaged unit

    The product is damaged. It arrived in a open and damaged box and does not function properly. I got it shipped overseas and its all a waste of time, money and efforts. Very disappointing experience. I cant wait another month for a replacement so going ahead without it in the project.

    Everyone (even you Mr. Smarty smart audio tech dude) needs an EQ.

    I had my first Clarion Cassette deck in 1979. Not a popular brand back then, but I loved it! The sound was true, and I thought it could compete with any of the Pioneer equipment back then. Not many people, especially the so called “Audiophiles” use EQ’s anymore, and everyone I’ve had install systems for me always question my judgement and ask “are you sure you want an equalizer?” Not only am I sure, I’m certain! Clarion is one of the few making an affordable yet kick-ass EQ. This newer model is not only less expensive that the previous, but it also has bass (sub) control right on the unit. So now I ask… do you want to mount a sub-controller on your dash for 40 bucks? Or would it make more sense to get TOTAL control over all of the frequencies for a few bucks more?

    Clarion is a quality and always great sound.

    Clarion is a quality product and well worth spending a few extra dollars for. I had a SSL crossover, massive audio eq and planet audio eq and clarion blows them all away. The sound difference is amazing!! Don’t go cheap or you get cheap sound.

    You don’t need an LOC!!

    Great sound with great options. Don’t waste money on LOC’s. I wish I searched about this EQ way before. Just on a whim I googled what happened to the old school EQ and pre-amps and this showed up in search. An amazon search shown me a link to this Clarion. My Kenwood HU has built in digital equalizer but through this it sounds even better!

    Surprisingly good.

    I installed this eq in my nieces Honda Pilot with an Alpine amp and all new speakers. It is surprisingly clean sounding. I bought it mainly for the fader option but it smoothed out the harshness of the system and was able to get a pretty flat sound even with the factory stereo. Quite amazing for the price. I would definitely use one again.

    Should of done this sooner

    This little EQ is Crystal clear, I’m using this instead of a Line out converter in a Silverado. It’s mounted under the glove box. I tapped into the front left and right signal and fed it to the EQ. Then ran wires to Rockford fosgate door speakers and a P300 subwoofer. Everything sounds perfect. The only thing that was weird is I ran a mono RCA to the subwoofer. If I tried to use both left and right channels the signal would cancel out and wouldn’t play sub correctly. Awesome product and have gotten compliments on how good it sounds.

    PLEASE READ FOR INSTALL

    No se pudo cargar el archivo multimedia.

     TLDR: Make sure this EQ has its own dedicated ground. DO NOT DAISY CHAIN GROUNDS.I also used headlight lense tint to take down the intensity of the LEDsReview: Great EQ and signal amplifyer for distortion free high volume sound and power. My first initial impression was that my Sub has alot more punch and my mids have more body. It does take some tuning to get right, but it’s definitely rewarding. I also do recommend headlight spray on lense tint for the LEDs. You will thank yourself later.Okay, so I read a couple of reviews for the 755 and 746 and saw a couple people complaining of the hissing/alternator whine. Upon initial installation I had the same problems and tore my whole system apart looking for the interference and didnt find anything. So I grabbed my DMM and tested a few things and saw resistance in the ground, because I Daisy chained the ground with my HU. This thing has 8v preouts and is probably why it can’t share grounds (high power). So I made the EQ it’s own dedicated ground on a bolt behind the HU and all was solved.
