    So far so good

    Grandma’s gift to our 7 year old daughter (I did the research). It’s a little pricey but seems worth it. Really light but built solidly. Takes 6 AA batteries or the wall wort. The batteries are a great option.I thought it would be too big for her but it’s actually a decent size that she can grow into nicely. I was most concerned about sound quality, which is why I went for Yamaha quality. The sound is great. Very realistic for a beginner keyboard. One thing I really like is the button layout is not cumbersome or overly complicated. It seems pretty intuitive and I’m sure my daughter will have it figured out in a short amount of time. If we experience issues, I’ll be sure to come back and update this review. But so far, we’re pretty happy with this purchase.

    It works. Some resistance to keys. That is good.

    Sounds great with speakers or headphones. To many buttons to understand. I use it for Baby Grand Piano. Two keys stick and it only works with power cord connected. Battery’s only last a few minutes. Returned.

    Great keyboard for the price, I bought it for my 7 year old. There are a lot of features to help those learning. Mine DID NOT come with a power supply as advertised.

    Middle C isn’t in the middle.

    Good value for the money. Sounds fine for what you pay. More voices, efx, tempos, lessons, and other doo-dads than I could ever hope to use. Nice that it takes batteries too.But imagine my surprise when I was applying my key stickers to discover that they didn’t line up according to their directions. Being a bit of a twit, I had to look up the tone of Middle C to make sure that the tiny little arrow on the keyboard was indeed right. (Also the efx for Cat, lol.) It is offset to the left one whole octave. I don’t get it. I was extremely disappointed to almost immediately discover that I couldn’t play Ode to Joy for the lack of one key.So, good little keyboard if you aren’t too fussy. BUT you may find the offset keyboard a hindrance.

    Worked better than expected! Was not headphone-compatible.

    This keyboard worked better than expected! At first, I thought it would have a couple instruments, but it turns out to have over 400! It even has some sound effects that you can play. I was disappointed when I noticed that it wasn’t headphone compatible. When I looked at the product on Amazon, the description told me that it would work with headphones. There is a place to plug the headphones in, but it did not work for me. The sound quality for some of the instruments, for example, electric guitar, sounds a little bit unrealistic, but that is to be expected and the piano setting sounds fine. One of my favorite features is the ability to listen to the preset songs on the keyboard while looking at the finger placing on the little screen. Great product, would buy again!

    More than I expected

    I bought for my husbands Christmas gift and it has so many instrument sounds and the fact that you can record what you play I think that’s awesome too. We are both beginners so I think it’s a great buy. I know some people on here are saying well it doesn’t have this or that etc but coming from a perspective of where we know NOTHING about pianos I would say this is a great keyboard lol.

    Great product, iffy delivery

    This product is great. My son loves it. The only issue I had was the item was delivered in a conspicuous box so it may invite thievery. Make sure you’re home when it’s delivered. Also had a little bit of snow that day. Delivery driver left in sitting in snow with no plastic or covering to protect from damage. Luckily I came home shortly after it was delivered so no damage was done. There was also a covered part of my porch that the item could have been left at to protect it from the snow and prying eyes.Great product…iffy delivery.

    Great keyboard for beginners

    The programmed voices sound authentic, including the special effects and percussion. My preteen son loves to jam on it when getting to the piano is not appropriate due to noise levels. I hooked up a Bluetooth transmitter to the headphone jack and it works beautifully. I would certainly recommend this to a friend.

    Great Little Keyboard

    My son son is mentally and physically handicapped. He is 30 yrs old now and goes through a keyboard every 3 or 4 yrs. He is pretty rough on them and they either fail in the first few days or last 3 or four yrs. He has banged on this one every day for over a month and so far it has held up great. It is the first Yamaha that we have purchased and seems to have better sound than the others with more sound effects. He loves it and I love my Bose Quite Comfort headphones.

    Excellent beginner piano

    So I am someone in their late-20’s, and I decided to take piano lessons. I looked around online for used pianos and most of the pianos were really old (don’t know if that makes a difference when one is just starting out), and they were charging prices that are usually for brand new pianos. I looked around online and came across this one. The price is good, and well it’s my first piano, so I didn’t know what else to search for. The sound quality for the piano is excellent, but it’s not weight sensitive (duh!). The materials used for construction are also good. The only thing that kind of irks me would be the power button. It’s not the most responsive button, especially when I try to turn it off. I would prefer the power button to have a clicking sound, idk, that’s just me. Otherwise, excellent beginner piano for any age.

    Quite skeptical at first, but it works

    I don’t usually write reviews, but given that this keyboard keeps me company in solitude, the item is really good, given the price for beginners. I recommend giving it a chance. Plus, the customer service here at Amazon is good at figuring out what’s wrong and getting a refund if you don’t like the item that much.

    Yamaha is a great keyboard brand

    This is everything I thought it would be. I had an older, similar version of this keyboard that I had to give away, so I was excited to find this.It’s not to heavy and all the keys and buttons are functioning as they should. The battery pack on the back was easy to open and insert batteries into. It doesn’t come with batteries but it does come with an adapter cord. I like the batteries because you can bring it anywhere and play it (camping!).It came with a music book holder but no stand for the keyboard itself.Yamaha is a really good brand so if you’re looking for a good keyboard I would suggest you get one of theirs

    Definitely worth the money

    Sounds great, feels a bit cheap (the keys aren’t very heavy when pressed) but that’s to be expected at this price point. I like that it has sound options, especially love the pipe organ option! Great beginner piano by a trustworthy brand 👊🏼

    Love it but……

    I was so excited when I found this and happy that I got it. I always wanted a piano and the reviews sounded good. I gave it four stars because it was obvious of what is was. There was no extra box or brown paper around it. It literally showed the piano and what it was. Luckily I was able to make it home to go ahead and take it in the house. I would hate it to the people who is waiting for it to arrive but stuck at work and can’t get it

    Great product for price range. Meets need.

    Tone sounds good as others had commented. I’ve never played a keyboard before but have managed to learn multiple keys and easy tunes, and my granddaughter has had minimal piano lessons and took easily to this product. Quality product for the price. If I excel then may invest in more expensive product but did not want to be out a lot if unable to learn to use one. Recommend.

    Bought this for my son as a beginner piano. He’s excelled quickly and has out grew the piano in 5 months. Mostly due to the shortened keyboard and lack of a sustain pedal. Still, the piano has been sturdy and reliable. He’s never had any issues with it all.

    Very nice but compatible stands don’t seem to be available.

    I have had other keyboards but this is the best one ever. He plays very smoothly, has good sound and the special effects are a nice touch. The only thing I find is a problem was that I could not find a compatible stand for it on Amazon. I did get a stand and it works, but they cannot be joined with the bolts due to the location of the holes.So this Hass to be handled carefully. Other than that I am truly delighted with this. I have heard Yamaha guitars and I am glad I stuck with the brand.

    Really great buy for our young kids! Impressive sound for this price point, tons of other musical instrument sounds and features. It didn’t come with a stand for the keyboard so we had to buy that separately; otherwise it was perfect.

    Doesn’t turn on anymore after less than 1 year

    Unfortunately, I bought this keyboard in Jan of 2022. It worked great for the first few months. I haven’t played it since July of 2022 and today, November 18th, 2022 I tried to turn it on and it won’t. Seems like unit is no longer useable as it will not receive power. Contacted Yamaha, they said there is nothing they could help with despite it being less than a year I purchased the unit because it’s bought through Amazon and not directly from them. While it’s reasonably priced, I would not recommend since the quality is not good enough to make it through a year.
