Though several models are the same price and offer more power, (Watts), this one has plenty of power and does a fine job in my restaurant.

Best Blender Ever! Why did I wait so long to buy this?
I was skeptical about buying this blender and then it arrived and was LIFE changing. I use this blender everyday, and I can put so many different things in it, all at one time for my smoothies. It has 3 different levels of blades and 3 speeds and makes THE BEST SMOOTHIES ever! I have no idea I why I wanted so long to buy this darn thing .I HIGHLY recommend for anyone who makes smoothies with Ka’Chava or any type of powder, bananas and frozen fruit – and it crushes ICE in a flash! I love this thing! Five star review!

Amazon Customer –
Does a great job blending smoothies.
We make a lot of smoothies with chopped ice cubes. This effortlessly grinds them up along with frozen strawberries. The safety features work well to prevent operation if unit isn’t in proper configuration.Never cut myself with those scary blades but you do have to be very careful when rinsing them in the sink. The unit just won’t “wash itself”; you’ve “gotta” take it apart. No biggie.

Worth every penny
I tried many other blenders and they just were not powerful enough to do the things they said they would. This Ninja blender though can crush and blend through everything. It may be a little more expensive than other blenders in the same capacity categories, but you know you are getting an item that will get the job done (rather than buying a bunch of cheaper ones that will not work for you).It is very easy to clean and made with sturdy and high-quality material. It is a little loud but that is expected with that much power and I honestly do not care about that, as long as it is doing what it is supposed to do.Perfect 5/5! Highly recommended.

It’s a beast.
This is better than any blender I’ve owned. I use it every morning to make my protein shake and it is crushes the ice so fast and easily. My shake is ready to go in a minute. I don’t know how Ninja makes their products, but I always have good luck with their products.

Blends Incredibly Well
I got this to replace my Instant Pot Blender which was a regrettable purchase from the start as it didn’t blend smoothly and left a lot of chunks. The motor burned out relatively quickly. The Ninja blender has already out performed my old blender and I’m very happy with this purchase. It blends ice easily and doesn’t leave any chunks. I’m really impressed with how powerful this blender is and I reccomend it.

This blender is Top Notch! Only thing I’m a little unsure about is the speed of the blending. Although it’s not noisy so you sacrifice one for the other.

An excellent upgrade from my Nutri Ninja. Possibly better in every single way.
I have used a Nutri Ninja for a few years pretty much solely for smoothies. It did the job reasonably well, though questionable construction choices left it nearly impossible to properly clean (assuming you were using the XL cup). This blender has absolutely none of those maintenance issues. Super easy to clean in comparison. How so? This blender lacks all the weird hard to reach or in the case of the XL cup, impossible to reach, places that smoothie will end up seeping into. It just stays in the container. The blade column lifts right out. The top seal is a single, solid piece, no horrible O-ring for stuff seep into. Even the base itself is completely solid, with no weird holes where the container connects. And to top it all off, this thing manages to be more powerful yet FAR quieter than the Nutri Ninja, despite being the same wattage. Though to be fair, it does seem to take slightly longer to blend my smoothies to the consistency that I want compared to the Nutri Ninja. However, unlike the Nutri, this blender doesn’t have nearly as much trouble with frozen ingredients getting stuck to the container and not blending, since you aren’t putting things upside down and the blades are stacked vertically in the cup.I have wanted this blender for years (well assuming this is the same model that came out years ago) but couldn’t afford it back then. Then I got gifted the Nutri Ninja, which I am very grateful for, since it got me into smoothies in the first place. But being able to snag this for LESS than $100 was a steal as far as I am concerned.Full disclosure, I have not used this for anything other than frozen smoothies, and don’t really intend to any time soon, so I cannot vouch for its ability to do any other types of blending/processing.Final word: If you are on the fence between this model or a Nutri Ninja, don’t get the Nutri Ninja, especially if you are planning to use the XL container for it. You will end up spending more money constantly having to replace the container, the O-ring on the cap, or the cap itself than if you just bought one of these. I see there are newer models for the Nutri, but the upside down construction is always going to be more problematic, in my opinion, compared to a more normal design.

Smoothie magic
There are some products that just change your life. I wanted to get in on the smoothie thing, and there simply is no other way to do it than with a blender, and no better blender to do it with. The blender is mostly plastic, but it doesn’t feel cheap. It is very secure. It locks onto the base with a satisfying click. The lid locks down with a similar click. Unless you have heard both clicks, the blender won’t start. And good thing. The blades are very sharp. They are angled to create a vortex that instantly turns any fruits and vegetables inside into viscous liquid.I like that the spout has a lid that locks open so you can pour easily. The blades come out so that they can be cleaned easily, along with the inside of the decanter. I saw that another buyer was cut when the blades “flew out” during cleaning. I have looked carefully and my blade assembly does not appear to be capable of flight or even mild levitation. Nonetheless I lift it out carefully, and if I am going to use the blender again I just rinse the blades; if I want the blades completely clean I use the dishwasher and not my hands. It has been a long time since I used a blender. I stopped because they sucked. Old blenders leaked out the bottom. They were hard to clean. They had a ton of different buttons for blending speed with labels that required a thesaurus next to the cookbook. And however I parsed the gradations of perturbation between “emulsify” and “macerate”, they didn’t actually blend. What was at the bottom of the blender became angry and confused while whatever was in the top two thirds of the decanter remained beatifically serene. This blender has high, medium, and low settings. You can pulse. It is loud, which I take to be a feature and not a drawback. Even more than my espresso machine, this blender is extremely effective at ending unwanted conversations. For particularly persistent interlocutors, use the pulse setting.Neither my kids nor I particularly like fruits and vegetables and as a result we don’t get nearly enough. And yet I can put in 10 bananas, two cartons of strawberries, two of blueberries, a bag of spinach (yes, spinach!), a cup of plain Greek yogurt, one interrupted conversation … and: ambrosia! The decanter is huge, and yet between the three of us we can and do empty it in one meal. Yay!

owned 6 weeks
I’m a healthcare professional and bought this after researching the competition (i.e., “Vita-Mix). After reading through a gazillion comments and reviews (including CR who rates the Ninja #2) I opted for the lower priced Ninja. I have used mine twice a day for the 6 weeks I have owned it, I use it for making smoothies. I blend for health, I have a morning fruit and berry smoothie and I have an afternoon veggie smoothie. Blending is a really convenient way to get in all your servings of fruit and veggies each day without removing the (very important) fiber. So far, I love my Ninja. I have had stuff made with a Vita Mix in the past, but have never done a side by side comparison, though I can think of a few differences that are meaningful for me. One, the Vita Mix generates heat. They use it as a selling feature, that you can use it to make soups, but I like my smoothies cold, so it’s not something I look for in a blender. Secondly, Vita Mix seems to win in all the comparisons with Ninja on smoothness, or thoroughness of blending. The only reason I knocked one star off the Ninja is because I have noticed that my smoothies are a bit chewier after several weeks of blender use. I attribute that to the fact that Ninja relies (apparently) on their sharp blades, which naturally dull with use-especially when blending frozen berries or ice (which both of my smoothies contain). I’ve noticed a subtle change in texture, no chunks, but definitely not a fine blend. My understanding is that Vita Mix has dull blades that work for years, they do not rely so much on sharpness as they do on speed? The other thing (in addition to heat) that you get with a Vita Mix is aeration (foam), which I do not notice with the Ninja. My smoothies are full of fruit and veggies, so they are full of fiber. If you are okay with having some noticeable fiber in your blend over time, the Ninja is a great deal at about 1/5 the cost. If that matters to you, expect that you will have it in time (I started to notice it after about 25 blends). The blender cleans very easily and is simple to use. I’ve never had to remove the top to tamp stuff down and I use 3 cups of leafy greens like kale and arugula, as well as whole carrots, celery, apples, and never have chunks. Overall it’s a great machine. I cannot rate longevity since I’ve only had it 6 weeks, but so far I’m very pleased.Update: It’s January 2018, I owned the Ninja about 3 months and ended up getting a Vita Mix. I still stand by my original review, but there is a difference. The Ninja starts out pretty great, but then over time things do no blend as well. I drink 2 smoothies a day (one veggie, one fruit), so I use it a minimum of 2x a day. Over time I started calling my Ninja smoothies: “grainies.” The blades start out very sharp, and the technology depends on that, but they dull with use and it shows in the results. The Vita Mix does not depend on blade sharpness, but power, it pummels everything to pieces (itty bitty pieces). I am amazed at the flour I can make with it. Also, the heat i mentioned is not a factor but a feature. Most things are blended in less than a minute (35 seconds often), so nothing really gets warm unless you leave it on in order to generate heat. The Ninja is a good blender, especially for the cost, but I don’t think one can fairly compare it to a Vita Mix, it’s like comparing apples and oranges.

this thing will turn rocks to sand
I noticed that my cat was starting to get fat. Not sure why because he’s been getting the same amount of food as always so the only explanation is that he must have been sneaking the left-over pizza I’ve been leaving out on the stove every night. In that moment I realized that I’ve been eating pizza every night and beelined to the hallway mirror to check if I was getting fat too.I was.“From now on it’s vegetable smoothies and walks around Central Park until we both look like Brad Pitt,” I said to Garbage. “Well, vegetable smoothies for me and canned tuna for you,” I corrected myself realizing that cats don’t eat vegetables. At least mine doesn’t. In any case, one two click and we’ve got a case of wild albacore and a Ninja BL610 on the way from Amazon. Great. Next, I figured we’d get a head start on the exercise so I strapped a harness onto Garbage and off we went to the park. (The thing barely fit around his fat torso.)We hiked around the little trails above Loeb Boathouse, I took it slow because I could see that Garbage was having a hard time. His body was visibly weighing down on his tiny knees. He looked like a barrel on four shaky sticks. But I didn’t say anything. I didn’t want to embarrass him. Instead, I pretended like I was the one struggling, giving off sighs here and there, asking him to slow down. I tried to keep his mind off the physical exertion with stories about mice and fish when, out of nowhere, a large mama-goose cut us off leading a string of babies across the path. We stopped. Garbage looked up at me. I shrugged my shoulders, “we gotta wait,” I said. And as soon as I did, the goose hissed violently like a manic cobra. I got a little scared, I’ll admit. “Step back,” I calmly whispered to Garbage. He moved behind my leg. Seeing him move, the goose started flapping her wings and hissing even more aggressively. Now – just to clarify – when I said that I got a little scared, it wasn’t so much that I was afraid of the goose itself. I mean, you have to keep a leveled head in situations like that, have to think logically. And logically speaking, I’m over six feet tall. The goose is what? A foot maybe? I weigh… a lot, hence the whole diet and exercise thing. The goose weighs how much? Maybe 10, max 15 pounds? I say this to say that I’m pretty sure I could take a goose down if push came to shove. Let’s say she flew up at face-level and tried to peck my eyes out. I’d treat her with a double jab, cross, hook. And if she came after my legs, I’d simply swat her with a low kick. Done deal. It’s not complicated. But it is beside the point because I would never actually do anything like that. Not in my right mind at least. And this is where things start to crumble. Because how can I know if I’m in my right mind at any given moment? Everything I do or think makes sense to me because I’m the one doing or thinking it. So if the thought of boxing it out with a goose pops into my head that means that somewhere in there this is a possibility waiting to materialize. And that is what I was scared of when I said I got a little scared. Because the only thing worse than beating up a goose is being SEEN beating up a goose. I mean, Imagine that? You’re walking around Central Park, minding your business, relaxing, when suddenly you see some cretin with a morbidly obese cat on a leash punching a goose. Front page New York Times next morning guaranteed.Long story short, we turned around and walked in the other direction. Did another 30 minutes around the lake and went home. Exhausted. Two days later we got our stuff from Amazon and went hard with the diet. The blender is great. It’ll chop anything. It’ll turn frozen vegetables to puree. It’ll turn almonds into almond butter. It’ll turn your fingers into ground meat if you’re not careful. The knives are sharp Sharp SHARP. I’m pretty sure it would turn rocks to sand but I haven’t tried that yet. The long and the short of it is this: the Ninja BL610 does the job exactly the way the job needs to be done. Go for it. You can feel confident. As for the results of our diet, Garbage looks like a Persian show cat and I’m down to 180.

Not a lot of hype!
All the good things written about this unit is not hype! The strong motor and sharp blades eat up whatever you put in it. Mom likes green smoothies and she adds apples. celery and carrots to it. The blend is complete and smooth. Perfect results every time. i wasn’t sure about the ‘ice to snow’ feature, but they did not exaggerate that either. Great for hot summer pick-me-ups and frozen smoothies.I have more than one type of Ninja , and both work beyond blender expectations. In short… a ninja is not a blender, it is in a whole category by itself! Get one! of any type or any size. The only thing to remember is that the strength of the motor varies from model to model. A small one will be convenient for a quick smoothie. but the big ones can be used for so much more!

Great blender for milkshakes
I was looking for a great milkshake blender that let me blend in plenty of candy add ins. This blender easily blends fully frozen ice cream and crushes candy and mixes it in just like a blizzard or other type of mix in milkshake. I now no longer feel the need to buy milkshakes since I can make restaurant or ice cream shop quality milkshakes at home. Ninja blender has plenty of power and the three blade system mixes up the entire shake perfectly.

Blending power is great
I was looking for a powerful blender with no alot of modes for blending. This was perfect. We do protein shakes, acai bowls, blending or a variety of fruits and veggies, along with ice mixed it. I was impressed in the little time it took to blend, seemed half the time as our other ninja that broke and struggled to blend. I would recommend to others. No bells and whisltes needed, gets the job done!

Love everything about it except 1 important thing.
I really like my new blender overall. The way it fits together just right, all of the safety features, the fact that you can’t turn it on unless all of the safety features are intact. Love all that. I also love that you can take the blades out so you can scoop out your food product or pour it out easily. The only thing I don’t like is when you’re actually blending it does a poor job of stirring as it goes. I’m finding I constantly have to stop the process, reach my rubber scraper in to get the food back into the blades path, and then start again. I have to do that enough that I’m over blending some part of the food and underblending others. So that’s a pain, but overall good purchase.

After all the reviews and ridiculous amount of money… 70 buck range i was expecting more i guess… takes about same time Hamilton beach or Oster that costs in the 20 – 30 buck range. Harder to pour that the other 2 blenders. More contrary to work than the other 2. This thing better last long time. Not happy or upset with it yet. Would i buy it again is the big question… naaaa for the money the others worked just great for me.

Pitcher is not as durable as it should be.
Honestly, we have had this blender for about 5 years, but last year the pitcher began to develop stress cracks around the base. We never abused the pitcher, but just general smoothie making and the like. Replacement pitchers are impossible to find for anything less than 90% of a new unit purchase price. I guess 5 years is a good run?

Not good for smoothies
The cup, pitcher, whatever it is called is squared not round. When mixing alot of chunks of fruit and what not gets stuck in the corners and never gets mixed. I specifically bought this for smoothies and now will have to find a better blender for smoothies. It is also a pain in the butt to get the smoothie ingredients out of the blender. You have to be careful because the blades are sharp.

Excellent product at a good price
I’ve used mine for several months and can only say good things about it. Good blender, fair price, it does just what I want a blender to do. Makes the normal amount of noise, blenders aren’t quiet and this one does not make any more noise than any other blender. I recommend it.

Extremely Powerful Blender
If you’re looking for a blender that will liquefy pretty much anything in seconds, this is the one for you. The tall blade assembly goes up 3/4 of the inside of the pitcher and is very, very sharp. (Be real careful cleaning!) It disassembles and re-assembles in a snap for easy cleaning, and I like the pulse feature. My only gripe is the plastic handle is in two parts, and does not seem air-tight. So, when you wash it, some fog/mist collects inside of it. But, it does seem to dry out very quickly. I just wonder how long it will be before it starts to collect mineral deposits inside and look ugly. Hopefully not. Still, very happy with this blender.
